Why Choose KMI Systems?

KMI is a premier Finishing Systems Company, outstandingly proficient in coating technology.  Quality and excellence are exhibited in both paint and porcelain systems.  Let us review with you, why KMI has both the capabilities and capacity to execute, install and start-up your Paint Finishing System on a “Turnkey” basis.

KMI has unmatched technical resources in paint and porcelain enamel processing.

The five principals Kevin Coursin, James McRoy, Vikram Desai, Terry Ray and Mike Horton have over 150 years of accumulated processing experience in coating systems.  This is a pool of talent not available to anyone else in the industry.

KMI equipment is designed with process function, process continuity, process controllability, and process reliability as primary system criteria. Equally important, is the priority placed on equipment quality.  After installation, equipment is monitored relative to condition and function. Inspections are made at 6 months, one year, three years, and five years to confirm system total function.  This allows us to determine if any system weaknesses develop which should be addressed on existing or future systems.  By following up in this manner KMI has been able to refine its equipment designs into highly reliable, low maintenance systems.

KMI field installers have 30 years of experience installing finishing systems.  LTT Millwrights has been connected with KMI Systems since it’s inception.  LTT, our mechanical installers, who install equipment, wire equipment, pipe equipment and paint equipment.  LTT has a crew of 20 to 30.  Dufrain Masonry are the KMI insulators. Dufrain can field a crew of 20 insulators.  As with LTT, Dufrain has been with us for about 30 years.  Both of these crews are very effective and produce very high quality work on or ahead of scehdule.

KMI has an exceptional record of performance and project execution. We are including a list of all of our customers over the twelve years of our existence, they are all highly satisfied.  We would have no reluctance to have you contact any, or all, on the list to confirm the satisfaction.

KMI proposals are detailed on the specificity of equipment to be supplied. We take deliberate care to clearly delineate what is being furnished, to ensure a complete understanding on the part of the customer as to type of material, thickness of material, pumps and pump capacities, blowers, type of motors, etc. Additionally, primary process parameters are clearly defined to inform and arrive at a common understanding of the system process.  Prices are clearly presented and in many cases presented in detail breakdown.  The primary intent of the detailed presentation is to avoid misunderstandings or lack of understanding.

Over 80% of the total package relates to three equipments (Cleaning Machines, Powder Systems E-Coat Systems and Ovens) where KMI has incomparable expertise.  We feel our experience in the design and knowledge of the washer E-coat and oven systems technology is the quality you require.  The KMI team has (worldwide experience) relative to the design and understanding of porcelain firing systems.  The “S” tube “U” type furnace was designed, developed, and refined by the founders of  KMI.  Developments have been implemented since the systems 1980 introduction to assure system reliability and low maintenance.  The KMI oven design addresses the four major factors describing the ideal E-coat and Powder Coating Curing Oven System.

Our oven designs, washer designs, E-coat designs, wiring and piping diagrams and details are designed on CAD.  We anticipate no difficulty in designing your project in a timely manner.  All of our designers have many years of experience and are led by people who have few equals in the industry.

KMI  has personnel to provide follow-up capability such as service and adjustment.  There is a department dedicated to the supply of replacement or repair parts for the equipment we provide.  In addition to repair parts KMI supplies a fine line of alloy tooling for firing systems.  High volume, low cost parts are stocked,  specialized replacement parts are readily obtained at competitive prices.

Financially, and physically we have grown on a controlled, methodical basis and expect to follow our careful future plan.  We welcome your contacting our auditor or bank to verify the financial character and performance of  KMI Systems. (Bob Cormeir, President, Home State Bank - 815-459-2000).  The above should help address doubts you may have harbored concerning KMI capabilities.  We are fully confident that we have done our homework, and have the elements in place to do an excellent job of design, fabrication, installation, and start-up in the execution of your project.  Our talent pool becomes particularly conspicuous at start-up, when process familiarity reduces the time required to transition equipments into production.
